Due to the influence of cold air, from the evening of March 2 to March 3, 2020, in 07 northern mountainous provinces (Yen Bai, Ha Giang, Tuyen Quang, Lai Chau, Lao Cai, Cao Bang and Son La) there have been thunderstorms, whirlwinds, lightning and hail.
DAMAGES

According to a quick report of 07 provinces of Yen Bai, Ha Giang, Tuyen Quang, Lai Chau, Lao Cai, Cao Bang and Son La, updating the situation of damage from thunderstorms, whirlwinds, lightning and hail from the evening of March 2 to 5:00 pm on March 4, 2020 as follows:

1. Regarding people: 01 person died (Mr. Ly Mi Sinh, born in 1994, in Phong Tung village, Sung Trai commune, Dong Van district, Ha Giang province, died from electric shock); 16 people were injured (Yen Bai: 06 people; Ha Giang 10 people);

2. Housing: 351 houses collapsed; 5,218 houses were unroofed and damaged;

3. Regarding infrastructure: 22 schools and 07 cultural constructions, 03 workshops were unroofed, damaged, 01 traffic bridge was swept away, 34 electric poles were broken;

4. Regarding agriculture and forestry: 412.3 ha of rice; 390 hectares of crops; 92.0 hectares of perennial crops, 27.8 hectares of annual crops, 352 hectares of fruit trees, 18 hectares of pine and acacia forests were damaged;

5. Regarding husbandry: 106 cattle and 77 poultry were swept away;

6. Regarding trees: 279 trees were broken.
