At 5 pm 17/4, a strong intensity tornado accompanied by hail occurred at Phong Huyen commune, Phong Dien District, Thua Thien Hue Province
According to initial statistics, Tornado did unroofed 320 houses in the village people: Cao Ban, Son Tung, Truong Gia Vien and Truong cau, more than 50 houses completely unroofed; series was broken trees, downed power line caused power outages throughout the commune. Tornadoes also affected to 01 people were injured name Tran Thi Roi, 53 years old, live in Truong Cau village, Phong Hien commune. The days after the disaster occurred, the Department of Disaster Prevention & Control and Search and Rescue at Phong Dien commune was come to localities to direct remedial help stabilize the people's lives.
