At 2pm on July 30, the tropical low pressure’s centre was at 15 degrees north latitude and 126,1 degrees east longitude, about 540 km from the Luzon island to the east southeast. The strongest wind speeds near the center of the tropical low pressure is level 7 (50-60km per hour), gusting 8-9.

At 8pm on July 30, the typhoon’s centre was at 16,5 degrees north latitude and 124,8 degrees east longitude, about 300 km from the Luzon island to the east. The strongest wind speeds near the center of the typhoon is level 8-9 (60-90km per hour), gusting 10-11

Within next 12 hours, the typhoon moves west-northwest with speed of 25 km per hour and weakening into a tropical low pressure. To 1am on August 3, its centre would be at 24,5 degrees north latitude and 110,0 degrees east longitude on the mainland of Guangxi province. The strongest wind speed near the center of the typhoon is level 6 (40-50 km per hour), gusting 7-8. Gulf of Tonkin will be suffered by medium- heavy rain, thunderstorm and level 6- 7 wind speed

Forecast for the next 12 to 24 hours, the tropical low pressure moves west with speed of 15-20 km per hour and weakening into a tropical low pressure on the mainland of Guangxi province. The strongest winds fell below level 6 (under 40km per hour).

From August 2-4, medium- heavy rain will occur in the east northern provinces, the mountainous and midland northern provinces with its rainfall of 100- 250 mm.

Because of the southwestern monsoon’s influence, the offshore of territorial water from Binh Thuan to Ca Mau and Spratly Islands will have strong wind of level 7-8 and sea rough. Both Central Highlands and the southern regions also will suffer medium- heavy rains.
