I. EVOLUTION OF THE STORM
- At 4:00 p.m. on October 16, 2023, the center of the low pressure area was at about 14.5-15.5 degrees North latitude; 110.5-111.5 degrees East Longitude, in the southwest sea of Hoang Sa archipelago.
- On the morning of October 17, the low pressure area in the southwest sea of the Hoang Sa archipelago strengthened into a tropical depression.
- At noon on October 18, the tropical depression in the coastal area of Quang Tri - Quang Nam strengthened into a storm, storm number 5.
- At noon on October 20, storm No. 05 weakened into a tropical depression.
- On the evening of October 20, the tropical depression (weakened from storm No. 05) weakened into a low pressure area on the mainland northwest of Hainan Island (China).
- At 10 p.m., the center of the low pressure area was at about 19.7 degrees North latitude; 109.2 degrees East Longitude. The strongest wind in the center of the low pressure area is below level 6 (below 39km/h).
