According to the agency, the earthquake occurred at 13:02 (Vietnam time), with the epicenter at a depth of 87km, 30km southeast of Parigi Moutong district.
The quake's tremors are unlikely to cause a tsunami and can be felt in some areas of central Sulawesi province. So far, there are no reports of human damage due to the earthquake.
Indonesia regularly experiences earthquakes due to its location on the Pacific Ring of Fire, where tectonic plates converge and have dense geological activities.
