Chairman of Vinh Long Provincial People's Committee assigned the Director of Department of Agriculture and Rural Development to assume the prime responsibility for, and coordinate with relevant departments and branches and Chairman of Long Ho District People's Committee to implement non-structural and structural solutions, in order to Limit damage to people and property, ensure safety of production and people's livelihood in accordance with the provisions of law.
People's property was washed into the river after the landslide
Previously, on December 5, a landslide occurred on the Co Chien river route belonging to group 9, group 10, Binh Thuan 1 hamlet, Hoa Ninh commune, Long Ho district. After that, in this area continued to occur other landslides that damaged many people's properties. The landslide area is about 350 m long, about 160 m wide, with a total landslide area of more than 41,000 m2.
The total number of affected households is 22 households with 109 members, of which, the number of directly affected households is 12 households with 58 members. The number of households in the danger zone at risk of being affected is 10 households with 51 people.
People's houses lie bare in the landslide area.
Damaged properties are 12 houses, including 11 level 4 houses and 1 wooden house; 1 warehouse, 1 hoe are under construction of embankment works managed by the Department of Agriculture; 2 fish ponds and orchards, all sunk into the river. Total damage is estimated at about 35 billion VND.
