After the MODIS satellite images were collected, they were process, analyzed and compared to develop the drought maps for 08 provinces during drought event from September 2015 to March 2016 (24/3/2016). The initial product consists of:
- General drought map for 08 provinces.
- Drought map for each provinces, detail to commune level.
The analysis for each province by day is possible. However, due to the limited time, the drought map was developed 3 maps per month for each province. From the maps, we could calculate and export:
+ The drought areas of 8 provinces in which the provinces that had over 50% drought areas were Đak Lak and Gia Lai;
+ The drought areas of districts of each province in which the districts that had over 50% drought areas were Ninh Thuan province (Phan Rang-Thap Cham city, Ninh Son, Thuan Nam, Ninh Phuoc); Binh Thuan province (Phan Thiet city, Bac Binh); Lam Dong province (Duc Trong, Lam Ha); Dak Lak province (Buon Don, Krong Buk, Krong A Na, Cu Kuin, Ea Sup, EaHLeo, Buon Ho, Krong Pac, Cu M'gar, Buon Ma Thuot city); Gia Lai province (Chu Puh, Ia Pa, Duc Co, Phu Thien, Mang Yang, Ia Grai, Kong Chro, Chu Se, Dak Doa, Dak Po, Chu Prong, Pleiku city, Krong Pa); Kon Tum province: (Kon Tum city); Dak Nong province: (Cu Jut, Dak Mil, Krong No).
