Efforts to extinguish the fast-spreading fire of Arizona firefighters on June 5
There have been no reports of casualties from these fires so far.
The InciWeb wildfire information system said the fire in Pinal County has burned nearly 230 square kilometers of forest since it broke out on the afternoon of June 4. A community of 250 people in the Top-of-the-World area, 1.6 km from the scene, had to evacuate on June 6 after the Pinal County government issued a warning for people to immediately leave to safe places.
Residents in the nearby town of Superior, with a population of about 3,000, were also advised to prepare to evacuate after being placed on alert due to the bushfires.
Meanwhile, another fire, believed to have broken out on June 6, has burned 200 square kilometers of forest in the Mescal Mountains, about 190 kilometers east of the Arizona capital Phoenix.
