Huge storm with tornado in the US leaves at least 29 dead

9:42:28, 04/04/2023 Severe storms and tornadoes have killed at least 29 people in the South and Midwest regions of the United States over the weekend.

The US National Weather Service confirmed at least 31 tornadoes hit nine states in the South and Midwest regions over the past two days Friday and Saturday.
More than 28 million people in the region have been placed under tornado warnings. Initial information said at least 29 people were killed and dozens of injured people were hospitalized.

Scenes caused by tornadoes in the state of Arkansas.

President Joe Biden on April 2 declared a state of major disaster in the state of Arkansas, allowing federal resources to be mobilized to recover from the effects of the storm.
Arkansas Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders earlier declared a state of emergency and mobilized the state's National Guard to assist residents in responding to the aftermath of the storm.
