Many people cannot go home due to the high and fast flowing water levels. A representative of the leader of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Tan Son district said that in addition to the isolated communes, heavy rains also washed away some of the people's water, landslides tens of cubic meters of land.
In addition, many communes in the district are at risk of being isolated if heavy rain continues. At present, the authorities of Tan Son district have assigned officers to be on duty at the head of the spillway, instructing and recommending people not to go through the dam without water receding.
In Viet Tri city, prolonged heavy rains have flooded many roads and streets such as the Sports Complex, Hung Vuong Street; Many nooks and crannies on Nguyen Du Street were flooded, movable plastic divider panels floated on the water surface, causing difficulties and hindering people in traffic.
In particular, heavy rains have deeply flooded the entire Minh Phuong urban area, Tran Nguyen Han street intersecting Hung Vuong street, Thanh Mieu ward was flooded up to 40-50cm deep, affecting traffic and people's lives.

Previously, according to the forecast report of the North Vietnam Regional Hydrometeorology Station, from the night of July 31 to August 5, many places in Phu Tho province will have moderate rain, heavy rain, some places with very heavy rain with popular rainfall of 200-300mm / time, some places over 300mm / time; The river and stream systems in the province are likely to have a flood with flood amplitude of 3-5m.
The Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue in Phu Tho Province has issued a written request to districts, cities and relevant authorities to closely monitor the evolution of tropical depression and the rain and flood situation. locality; timely warning information to communes, wards, towns and people to avoid, especially areas prone to landslides, flash floods, inundation.

Relevant authorities inspect, review, ready many options to ensure the safety of dykes, dams, reservoirs downstream; assigning staff to regularly check and monitor the critical dyke sections that do not ensure the flood-proof elevation, the sluices under the dyke, the locations of river banks being eroded, the reservoirs are degraded or have problems.
Local authorities need to take the initiative in lowering water levels of degraded reservoirs to ensure safety of works. At the same time, to prepare forces, materials, means and equipment to handle key points of dikes and dams; implement urgently to complete or have a plan to ensure safety for construction works. Districts, urban centers and relevant authorities inspect, review and prepare to evacuate people in low-lying areas along rivers, streams, dangerous areas, landslide-prone areas, and flooded areas. deep, fragmented, high risk of flash floods, landslides, on cages and aquaculture areas to a safe place.
