Rain and floods caused 3 deaths in Vinh Phuc

9:34:18, 15/08/2024 Due to the influence of a low-pressure trough passing through the North, heavy rain caused 3 deaths, many buildings collapsed in Vinh Phuc

According to the Standing Office of the Steering Committee for Fire and Rescue of Vinh Phuc province, due to the influence of the low-pressure trough passing through the North combined with the convergence of high winds, from 11/8 to 14h on August 13 in Vinh Phuc province, there was moderate rain, heavy rain, in some places very heavy rain (common from 60-120mm,  in some places over 200mm).


Functional forces found the bodies of the victims.

Due to the influence of rain and floods, on the night of August 12, 2 people in Tam Dao district (Nhu Hong Phuong and Nguyen Khanh Ly) were swept away by the flood. At noon on August 13, in Hoa Binh village (Hai Luu commune, Song Lo district), a landslide occurred that caused 1 house to collapse, killing 1 person and injuring 1 person.

According to the leader of Dao Tru commune (Tam Dao district, Vinh Phuc province), 2 people were swept away by the flood occurred in the area of Ben Tam overflow bridge, bordering Tam Dao National Park and Dao Tru commune. Specifically, on the evening of August 12, a group of 7 people invited each other to watch meteors at Tam Dao National Park. After that, 2 people went forward, due to heavy rain, when crossing the Ben Bath overflow bridge, they were suddenly swept away by the flood, 5 people later discovered the incident and called for rescue.

Receiving the news, the functional forces quickly arrived at the scene, organizing a search for the victims who were swept away by the pipe flood.
