Thua Thien-Hue: Warning on locations at risk of landslides, landslides

According to the Thua Thien-Hue Provincial Hydrometeorology Station, in November 2020, the province will have 3 to 5 heavy rains on a large scale, of which the biggest rain may appear in the middle of the month.



The waves washed away a lot of protection forests and destroyed the coastal route of Provincial Highway 21, passing through Giang Hai commune, Phu Loc district.


On the evening of November 5, the Office of the Command for Natural Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue of Thua Thien-Hue Province issued a warning notice of the locations at risk of landslide, riverbank and coast erosion. In the province, so that the local authorities and people will actively monitor, prevent and respond to natural disasters in 2020-2021.

Accordingly, from November 2020 to the first months of 2021, the climate, hydro-meteorological situation in which natural disasters in the province are still in a dangerous and high-risk situation.

In Phong Dien district, there is a risk of landslides in Phong My, Phong Xuan, Phong Son, Phong An, and Phong Thu communes. Pay attention to the landslide of the hills and mountains along route 71, subsidence in Phong Xuan commune.

To prevent landslide of Bo river bank, passing through Phong Son, Phong An and Phong Hien communes; landslide of O Lau river along Highway 49B passing Phong My, Phong Thu, Phong Hoa, Phong Binh communes; coastal erosion in Phong Hai and Dien Hoa communes.

Huong Tra town is at risk of landslide in mountainous areas, especially Highway 49A, which runs through Huong Tho, Binh Thanh, Binh Dien, Binh Tien. Landslide of Bo river bank section passing through communes, wards and towns such as Huong Van, Huong Van, Tu Ha, Huong Toan, Huong Vinh, Huong Phong. Coastal erosion in Hai Duong commune, especially in Thuan An estuary area.

For A Luoi district, areas need to be prevented from landslides in mountainous areas, residential areas along National Highway 49A section passing through Huong Nguyen, Hong Ha and Son Thuy communes. Special attention is paid to the landslide points over the A Co pass on National Highway 49A, along Ho Chi Minh Road and in villages in the district. Landslide of riverside of A Sap, Bo, Huu Trach rivers.

In Nam Dong district, to prevent landslides on hills and mountains, slopes on the La Son-Tuy Loan expressway, especially the section passing Huong Phu commune, Khe Tre town. To prevent flash floods, landslides in the residential areas along hillsides, rivers and streams in Thuong Quang, Huong Son, Thuong Nhat, Thuong Lo and Huong Giang communes. The landslide sections along the banks of Thuong Nhat and Ta Trach rivers.

For Phu Loc district to prevent landslides and hills and mountains in Xuan Loc communes, Phuoc Tuong pass area, Phu Gia, Hai Van, residential areas along the hillside in Phu Loc town, Loc An communes, Loc Tri, Loc Thuy, Loc Tien, Loc Binh, Loc Vinh; pay attention to landslides along the route from National Highway 1A to Chan May port, coastal road area at Chan May Dong cape, Cu Du. Erosion along Bu Lu river, coastal erosion in Vinh My, Giang Hai, Vinh Hien communes.

In Quang Dien district to prevent landslide of Bo river bank across Quang Phu and Quang Tho communes; landslide in the coastal area of ​​Quang Cong commune. In Huong Thuy town to prevent landslides in hilly areas in Duong Hoa, Phu Son, Thuy Bang communes, along National Highway 1A, the bypass of Hue; landslide of the Perfume river through Duong Hoa and Thuy Bang communes.

The Office of the Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue in Thua Thien-Hue province also requires dam owners, exploitation management units, investors of hydroelectricity and irrigation projects in the province to regularly check the area of ​​the lake bed, lakeside and the main works to ensure safety ...

According to the Meteorological and Hydrological Station of Thua Thien-Hue province, in November 2020, the province will have 3 to 5 heavy rains on a large scale, of which the biggest rain may appear in the middle of the month; total rainfall in the month is about 600-800mm. In December 2020, there were about 2-4 large-scale heavy rains, monthly rainfall remained approximately and higher than the average of many years in the same period, the total common rainfall was 300-450mm./.
