Speaking at the United Nations Conference Against Climate Change in Doha (Qatar) on December 12nd, Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon said he will covene a high-level meeting to discuss how to encourage the international community more actively in the fight against climate change.

Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon high light that: "I believe that efforts to fight against climate change not only is role of environment ministers. This issue needs the attention of political leaders, the president, the prime minister... After reference to members of United National, I am considering to convene a meeting with the world leaders in 2014 to mobilize the political will for a global agreement against climate change in 2015".
Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon proposed when Kyoto protocol (a document would bind about 35 development countries to emission reductions) would hardly be extended due to disagreements between developed and developing countries. Some developing countries would like to have double aid (from 2013 to 2015) to $ 20 billion/ year for emission reductions and fight against to climate change such as flooding, drought, the unusual heat waves and rising sea levels./.
