According to the report of the Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control and Search and Rescue of Chuong My District, Hanoi, at 5p.m of August 1st, due to the influence of heavy rain, the water level of Bui river measured in Yen Duyet was 7.22 m, 0.22m higher than its third warning level.
Nam Phuong commune is the worst impacted with 687 households being severely flooded and 3,496 people being evacuated.
According to the general statistics of losses caused by flooding in communes and towns of Chuong My district, 1,380.9 hectares of rice crops, 307.7 hectares of vegetation, 603.5 hectares of aquacultureareas and 181.7 hectares of fruit trees were damaged by flood.
About livestock and poultry: 339 cattle died; 56,029 poultry, fishery died and lost. The area of cages destroyed was 4.855 square meters.
About housing: 170 square meters of housing and 1744 square meters of exterior walls were collapsed. 1885 meters of rural roads and 8320 meters of inter-field paths landslide. More than 11860 meters of canal was damaged, 12110 meters of dykes and reservoirs was destroyed.
