Next session is the technical discussion to introduce the application of remote sensing, GIS in the study of typical disaster such as droughts, floods, landslides, storms in Asia. Meanwhile, representatives from India and China mention the development trend of space technology infrastructure in developing national database, early warning systems and emergency response as tsunami warning system. Within the working schedule, beside the sharing of delegates from Indonesia, Malaysia, Bhutanese about their disaster response recently, the representative of AHA Center also has a statement on 5 years of operation of the center, experiences, challenges and plans for the next phase of the AHA Center.

At the end of the workshop, Director of UNOOSA, Mr. Luc St-Pierre and Mr. Shirish Ravan summarize conclusion of the workshop, deliver the commitment of UN on technical assistance, operational plans for each country in 2016 and the next years, call for enhancing cooperation in the Asian countries and especially promote the application of space technology in disaster risk reduction and management and in the future.
