Disaster Management Centre organised a conference on the Practice of the supervision systems for disaster management water reservoirs on December 12th and 13th, 2011 in Nha Trang with the permission of Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and the support of World Bank.

On July 28-29, in Da Nang city, Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD) in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs organized APEC Workshop on Facing Abnormal Flood Disaster: New vision for APEC member economies. The workshop was co-chaired by H.E. Dr. Dao Xuan Hoc,Vice Minister of MARD and H.E. Ambassador Muhamad Noor Yacob, Executive Director of the APEC Secretariat. H.E Mr. Võ Duy Khương, permanent Vice chairman of Da Nang city People’s Committee on behalf ot the leader from Da Nang city attended and delivered the welcome remark.

The National Disaster Center (DMC) and The Dyke Management, Flood and Storm Control (DDMFSC), Water Resources Directorate, The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural development (MARD) with the cooperation of Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and JICA Project Expert Team for The Project for Building Disaster Resilient Societies in Central Region in Vietnam (DRSC Project) jointly organized 3-day Training Workshop on ” Disaster Prevention Engineering” from July 26 to July 28, 2011 at Center for Flood and Storm Control in Central and Highland Regions in Da Nang city.
