The 2nd ISDR Asia Partnership (IAP) meeting for the year 2012 is organised in collaboration with BNPB, Government of Indonesia. The main focus of this IAP meeting, apart from updates and experiences, sharing from IAP members, is to discuss the preparation of the 5th Asia Ministerial Conference and update/follow up on HFA review for the biennium, Post HFA and national platform review processes in the region.
Nurses, Rapid Response Team Learn First Aid and Rescue Skills in Thanh Hoa

More than 200 members of rapid response team and community-based nurses attended a series of training courses on first aid and rescue, which last from June 26 till July 26 in the northern Thanh Hoa province. The courses aimed to improve their capacity in saving victims when natural disasters occur.

DMC - the project “Enhance Community Awareness and Community Based Disaster Risk Management” has been approved by the Prime Minister by 1002/QĐ-TTg on 13/7/2009 (to be called the Project). Disaster Management Centre has recently been appointed by Directorate of Water Resources to become the unit responsible for the consultation that has supported Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (Directorate of Water Resources) in accomplishing a number of tasks:

The project “Enhance Community Awareness and Community Based Disaster Risk Management” (to be called the Project) has been approved by the Prime Minister by Decision 1002/QĐ-TTg on July 13, which stated that the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and Disaster Prevention Department are the official organisers of the project. In order to accomplish given missions, Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development has cooperated with relevant ministries, departments, and social and international organisations in Vietnam and provinces.
Report: Field trips to proposed locations in Southern and Central provinces as a part of the field trip programme in the CBA6 conference.

As one of the missions of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, Disaster Management Centre has cooperated with other administrations in establishing a technical working group to carry out field trips to good models in disaster management and community climate change adaptation. The technical working group has examined 9 models in Ben Tre, Hue Province, and Ho Chi Minh City
