More than 4,000 hectares of forests in Ca Mau are forecasted to be dangerously dangerous

On the afternoon of March 27, according to information from the Ca Mau Provincial Forest Protection Department, out of a total of more than 47,800 hectares of melaleuca forests and forests on Hon Khoai island cluster, Ca Mau province has now had more than 22,700 hectares of dry forests.
Among them, the forest fire risk warning level IV (danger level) is more than 4,120 hectares, level III (high level) more than 18,600 hectares. Level IV fire alarm area is concentrated mainly in the area of Melaleuca forest forest, Lien Song Trem sub-zone, U Minh 1 sub-zone, Tran Van Thoi inter-sub-zone under U Minh Ha Forestry One Member Limited Company, with more than 3,000 ha; The forest belonging to the Hon Khoai island cluster (including the Hon Chuoi island cluster) with a total of more than 570 hectares has changed to dangerous fire alarm.


Forest protection and management units operate machinery to prevent bad situations from happening.

In order to minimize the possible fire risks, right from the beginning of the dry season of 2023, Ca Mau authorities have constructed 86 large and small sluices and dams to keep fresh water for forest fire prevention and fighting (PCCCR). ). Management units and forest owners are fully aware that they are always ready with more than 530 employees on duty on 69 fire watchtowers. In case of emergency, provincial functional forces can mobilize more than 5,000 people to participate in fire fighting.
