Typhoon No. 13 when it landed on mainland Quang Binh weakened. However, with strong winds and heavy rain occurring on a large scale, the storm caused heavy damage to this locality, especially in the coastal area.

Typhoon No. 13 injured 11 people; 1,886 houses had their roof blown off, of which the heaviest damage was in Bo Trach district with 1,197 houses.

The whole province had 15 schools, 11 cultural houses and medical stations had their roofs blown off and badly damaged; Thirteen fishermen's boats in the shelter areas in the province were breached by the wind, causing sinking and damage.

The dykes and sea embankments in Canh Duong communes, Quang Trach district; Hai Phu commune, Bo Trach district ... was beaten by waves and wind, severe landslides. Hundreds of hectares of crops and crops were broken and damaged by storms.

These days, walking along the coastal communes of Bo Trach district, Quang Binh province, it is easy to see the image of the broken dikes and sea embankments being broken by the waves.

The rain-shaded houses of many coastal fishermen were blown off the roof by storm winds, leaving only concrete pillars and pillars left.

Fisherman Nguyen Van Bang, Duc Trach commune, Bo Trach district, Quang Binh province said that the Typhoon No. 13 just swept the entire kitchen roof, the main house was also knocked by the wind in some locations.

All property, electronic items, and household items are exposed to rain and cannot be used. His family's small boat, which has been searching for food every day, has been beaten in many places by the wind.

Mr. Nguyen Van Bang said: “Not a year like this year, rain, storm, and constant floods. Although actively fighting and preventing first, strong winds and heavy rain could not avoid the damage. It was starting to get sunny, and he and his wife had to take advantage of buying fibro - cement and tiles to re-build the house. Wet and damaged items that can no longer be used should be discarded. Now, just looking forward to the coming sea trips here, having money will gradually buy things back.

Offshore fishing boat owners like Mr. Vo Van Long, living in Duc Trach commune, Bo Trach district, during rainy days, floods, and boats have to lie on shore, making life difficult.

Mr. Long said that for coastal people, the main source of income to take care of family life depends on each sea trip. During the past 2 months, the ship was on shore, not only the ship owner but also his boat friends had no income. The constant storms and storms made the worry in his heart and his friends growing.

Mr. Long shared that each ship stretched out to sea, if building and buying enough fishing gear, it would take 5 billion or more, with a ship to invest tens of billions of VND. Most of the budget is borrowed from banks and relatives, a part of their own capital. If we cannot go to the sea, the ship just lies on the shore for a long time and does not know what to pay the loaned debts ... From now to the end of the year, hope the sea is quiet, do not rain any more storms so that the fishermen can go to sea seafaring, having income to care for wife and children, family and life.

The people of the navel flood areas in Le Thuy district, Quang Ninh (Quang Binh) cannot forget the terrible flood that happened in mid-October last year, taked away from them of many precious things.
